American National Kitchen & Bathroom Association Declared the “2024 Bathroom Trend Report” recently. Its data consists of the data from industrial experts’ investigation, and it’s fully introduces the trend of future main bathrooms.
The report pointed out that there’s a revolution performing in the main bathroom - be the main point in selling, taking place from the other zones in home and creating a personal resting place. The main trend included bigger areas, spa healthy elements, intelligent integrated technology and the use of natural color and texture.

01 New Experience of technology-applied shower
Showering is a family edition spa. When asked about the most popular shower features, the most voted for were the in-seat shower (69%), handheld shower (66%), rain shower (61%), steam shower (51%) and body spray (39%). Interestingly, when asked about controls, touchpads (64%) outperformed pure hands (57%), indicating that showering with technology can enhance the experience.

02 Added drink stop and freezers in bathroom
The bathroom now has a drink station and refrigerator. Gone are the days of just taking a shower, a trend that was almost unheard of just a few years ago. There are a number of interviewers who show that they have great interest in adding freezers for storing drinks, medicine, face cream and makeup.

03 Green color become the new trend
Green trumped white as the color of choice. When asked about preferred color trends in the bathroom, the majority of respondents (35%) said green was the preferred hue, ahead of white (31%), blue (26%), gray (25%) and several other colors.
04 Bigger shower area
Remove the bathtub and make the shower area bigger. The most popular bathroom renovations are removing bathtubs to increase shower area (56%), a response that outstrips other popular renovations, such as removing walls to increase the master bathroom footprint (48%), connecting bathrooms to closets or changing areas (39%), and adding separate partitions for toilets (35%).
05 higher popularity of water-saving products
When asked about the trend of the next 3 years, they pointed out that the character of water-saving and sustainable development will be popular among alternative energy efficient water heaters (51%), EPA WaterSense/ low flow toilets (45%), EPA WaterSense low flow sink faucets (31%) and EPA WaterSense low flow shower heads (30%). It is worth noticing that 16.5% of interviewers indicated that the drain from the bathroom sink will go into the toilet tank for flushing within 3 years. Only 14% of interviewers said these sustainable options won’t be popular.

06 Pattern tiles become the most popular shower floor
Patterned installed is the most popular shower floor. Tiles with a variety of patterned designs were identified as the most popular shower floor, outpacing large-format tiles (37%), pebbles and stones (36%), flat and solid surfaces (28%), and round or square mosaics (28%).
07 Incorporate wallpaper into your bathroom design
Designers cited wallpaper as the best way to incorporate new colors into the bathroom, receiving 50 percent of the vote. This is followed by cabinets and vanities (49%), wall paint (36%), artwork (31%) and bathroom floors (27%).

08 Application of integrated intelligent technology
Of those surveyed, 32 percent cited integrated technology as the biggest change in bathroom trends over the next three years, topping the list, with designers creating more personalized and customized experiences through smart systems and features controlled by mobile apps, from heated floors to mirrors and lighting.
