According to customs data, the total import and export value of ceramic tiles in March 2025 reached $276 million, a year-on-year increase of 12.52%. Among this, the export value was $261 million, a year-on-year increase of 9.97%, and the import value was $14.36 million, a year-on-year increase of 94.28%.
Export Statistical Analysis
1. Ceramic Tile Export Categories
According to customs data, in March 2025, China’s ceramic tile export value reached $261 million, a year-on-year increase of 9.97%. In RMB, the export value for March 2025 was 1.87 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.03%. The export volume was 42.98 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 42.44%. The average export price was $0.34/kg and $6.08/square meter; in RMB, the average price was 2.45 yuan/kg and 43.61 yuan/square meter.
Based on the statistics, in March 2025, the largest export category was ceramic tiles under HS code 69072190, accounting for 63.76% of the total export value. The second largest was 69072290, which accounted for 28.23%, and 69072390 accounted for 5.99% of the total export value.
2. Ceramic Tile Export Monthly Statistics
From January to March 2025, the total ceramic tile exports amounted to $631 million, a decrease of 30.65% compared to the same period last year. (Note: Monthly ceramic tile data is sometimes volatile, but the customs data reflects this trend.)

These top 20 countries and regions accounted for 77.47% of the total export value. Notably, compared to the same period last year, only Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, Chile, Indonesia, and Myanmar saw a decrease, while the rest showed growth.

In March 2025, the top 10 provinces for ceramic tile exports were Zhejiang, Shandong, Sichuan, Guangdong, and others. Among these, Guangdong Province accounted for 38.33% of the total export value, an increase of 15.77% compared to last year.
Import Statistical Analysis
1. Ceramic Tile Import Categories
According to customs data, in March 2025, China’s ceramic tile import value reached $14.36 million, a year-on-year increase of 94.28%. In RMB, the import value was 103 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 96.78%. The import volume was 289,400 square meters, a year-on-year increase of 24.72%. The average import price was $2.92/kg and $49.63/square meter; in RMB, the average price was 20.93 yuan/kg and 356 yuan/square meter.
The largest import category was HS code 69072190, accounting for 82.91% of the total import value, followed by HS code 69074090, which accounted for 9.78%.
2. Ceramic Tile Import Monthly Statistics
From January to March 2025, China imported $24.53 million worth of ceramic tiles, a year-on-year increase of 42.47%.
