Foshan (CHINA) – Foshan Ceramics Industry Association Import-Export Branch convened its founding congress at China Ceramic City on June 9. Delegates representing leaders of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Foshan, Chancheng district government, delegates of Foshan Ceramics Industry Association, industrial experts, the media and other related companies witnessed the great event of the industry.

In her remarks at the event, Vice-chairman of CCPIT Foshan, Ms Deng Xiangwen said Foshan ceramics industry is undergoing its bottleneck period with the proportion of the output value of the ceramic industry declined among the others last year. The share of exports of ceramic products makes up less than 5% of the total. Facing the severe industrial competition, Foshan is under great pressure which greatly impacts the ceramic industry. Moreover, either traditional or emergent markets are all under protection in order to boycott our entry, which squeeze the share of China’s ceramics export. Today the set up of Foshan Ceramics Industry Association Import-Export Branch marks a new development for the ceramic industry in Foshan and promotes solidarity in the industry. It will help build our own brand and strengthen Foshan brand effect.

Huang Xiran, Foshan Ceramics Industry Association Senior Consultant, expressed his expectation that the Import-Export Branch should be a service platform, commit to serve the ceramic industry and promote the development of the enterprises. At the meanwhile, it should engage to promote the development of Foshan ceramic industry and lead Foshan brands go towards the world. The Branch would become an information service center distributing authoritative industrial information and set up bridges among members, government, institutes home and abroad.

 

Huang Xiran, Foshan Ceramics Industry Association Senior Consultant and Ms.Connie Yu, the first president of the branch, Executive Vice President & General Manager of Commercial Operation Center jointly inaugurated the branch.

Export of China building ceramics is an important engine which motivates the development of China ceramic industry. The whole industry is witnessing new normal and new pressure which forced us to collaborate together. That’s the main point of the inauguration of the Import-Export Branch, said Ms.Yu, setting up platform and building bridge would be the main developing direction. Also   we welcome the brand enterprises to join us to share resources and develop together.

 

 

At the meeting, Mr. Chen Xuejun, Chief of the Bureau of Economic and Technological Development of Chancheng District, Foshan, and Ms.Ni Yi, General Secretary of Foshan Chamber of Commerce of Importers & Exporters made speeches on the import-export policies, which help the enterprises enhance the understanding of government’s preferential policy and Tax Refund policy.
