Crystal Bricks: Transforming Space with Transparency and Elegance
Time:2023.08.28 Views:
Crystal bricks, often referred to as glass bricks, defy the traditional perception of heaviness associated with common bricks like red, stone, or cement. These bricks, whether solid or hollow, are crafted through high-temperature molding, resulting in the exquisite and translucent wonders known as crystal bricks.
01
Crystal Bricks
Crystal brick is a type of glass brick, formed by high-temperature compression within molds. Solid glass bricks are also referred to as crystal glass bricks. The surface of crystal bricks glistens like polished crystal, boasting a hard and durable texture that's comparable to actual crystal.
02
Material Classification
Crystal bricks come in two main types: solid crystal bricks and hollow crystal bricks.
Solid Crystal Bricks
The process involves melting glass, pouring the scorching glass liquid into molds, letting it partially solidify, and then plunging the heated glass into water for cooling. Several rounds of polishing follow, creating the distinct and sparkling translucent blocks.
Solid crystal bricks further branch into full solid bricks and perforated solid bricks, each including variants like fused-edge solid bricks and precision-ground solid bricks. Fused-edge bricks possess rounded edges and an overall hazy appearance, while precision-ground bricks boast sharp edges and exceptional transparency.

Hollow Crystal Bricks
Hollow crystal bricks are crafted by molding concave glass pieces with a thickness of about 5mm-6mm. These concave pieces are then pressed together at high temperatures, creating an interior hollow structure that enhances sound insulation and insulation performance.

Material Characteristics
Crystal-clear Transparency and Selective Perspective
Crystal glass bricks exhibit unparalleled transparency, effectively transmitting light and generating beautiful refractive and reflective effects. This quality makes them a popular choice for both illumination and decorative purposes.
Moreover, advanced crafting techniques allow crystal bricks to combine transparent and opaque features, offering exceptional concealment. The synergy of standard glass bricks and specialized glass bricks permits selective shading in specific areas, seamlessly blending aesthetics with functionality.
High Hardness
Crystal glass bricks belong to the category of hard materials, boasting a hardness comparable to natural gemstones. This quality ensures enduring durability and resistance to wear, making them ideal for exterior walls and decorative partitions.
Diverse Colors and Textures
Crystal glass bricks can be infused with pigments or treated using various processes to showcase a kaleidoscope of colors and textures. This versatility grants Crystal Bricks a wide range of design possibilities, catering to diverse decorative styles and preferences.
Energy-Efficient, Environmentally Friendly: Dust, Moisture, and Condensation Resistance
Crystal bricks belong to the sodium-calcium silicate glass system, composed of high-temperature fused transparent materials like quartz sand, soda ash, and limestone. They outperform ordinary double-glazed glass in terms of dust resistance, moisture resistance, and more. Even at -2°C, outdoor fogging is virtually nonexistent.
